IAH Atlantic Seminar on Water Chemistry in Private Well Water in New Brunswick
Location: Dalhousie Sexton Campus, I (Industrial Engineering) Building, Room MA 120 at 7 pm on Thursday January 23rd

Speaker: Diana Loomer, M.Sc., P.Geo., PhD candidate with the UNB Department of Civic Engineering

Abstract: A baseline groundwater study in areas of potential shale-gas development and a study evaluating the groundwater in the region encompassing the historic Stoney Creek oil and natural gas (ONG) field will be presented, and insights will be shared on groundwater chemistry and the occurrence of methane in private well water across southeastern New Brunswick. This research has been published in Science of the Total Environment and Applied Geochemistry journals.
